This is our biggest update ever. DebtZero v1.3 transforms the app from an EMI tracker into a daily financial recovery platform. Every feature is designed around one goal: keep you motivated, reduce your stress, and make real progress feel visible every single day.
📊 Financial Score — Know Where You Stand Every Day
Every morning, DebtZero now calculates your personal Financial Score from 0 to 100 — a single number that tells you how well you're managing your debt today. It's the first thing you see on the dashboard, and it changes daily based on your behaviour.
The score is calculated using four factors:
How the Score Is Calculated
- EMI Consistency (0–40 pts) — Are you paying EMIs on time? Longer streaks earn more points.
- Debt-to-Income Ratio (0–30 pts) — Is your total EMI under 40% of income? Lower ratio = higher score.
- Debt Progress (0–20 pts) — How much of your original principal have you paid off?
- No Late Fines This Month (0–10 pts) — A clean month with no penalty charges earns you all 10 points.
Tap the score card to see a full breakdown — exactly how many points you earned in each category and what specific actions will improve your score tomorrow. The score is also tracked over time so you can watch your financial health trend upward.

Paying off a loan is one of the biggest financial wins of your life. Now DebtZero gives it the celebration it deserves.

Total EMI Paid: ₹4,80,000 · Interest Paid: ₹80,000 · 48 months completed
When you fully pay off any loan, simply open that loan's detail screen and tap "Mark Loan as Closed". Optionally enter the final settlement amount and closure date. The app will then:
- Show a celebration screen with total EMI paid, interest paid, and months completed
- Remove it from your active debt count and dashboard calculations
- Update your debt-free progress percentage immediately
- Send you a push notification congratulating you
- Award you the Debt Slayer milestone badge
Closed Loans History
All closed loans are archived and accessible. You can always look back at every loan you've ever paid off — a permanent record of your financial victories.
💬 Daily Financial Check-in — How Are You Feeling Today?
Money stress is real. DebtZero now opens each day with a simple, private check-in: "How are your finances feeling today?"
Based on your selection, the app shows a personalised message of encouragement and a practical suggestion tailored to where you are that day. No judgment, no shame — just calm, human support.

Actions are generated based on your actual debt data — the loan with the highest interest rate, upcoming EMIs, or spending habits. Tap "Done" once you've completed it. Simple, achievable, effective.

DebtZero now tracks 8 major milestones on your debt-free journey and awards you a badge the moment you unlock each one. Open the Milestones screen from Quick Actions on the dashboard to see all your earned and upcoming badges.
Badges are checked automatically every night. The moment you qualify — whether by paying off a loan, hitting a streak, or clearing a debt milestone — the badge is awarded and a notification is sent.
💙 Recovery Pressure Reducer — Calm Guidance When You Need It Most
Financial pressure — recovery calls, missed EMIs, fear of a field visit — can feel paralyzing. DebtZero now has a dedicated Pressure Reducer feature that gives you calm, step-by-step practical guidance for exactly what you're going through.
Tap "Feeling Financial Pressure?" on the dashboard and select your situation:
For each situation, the app shows a numbered step-by-step action plan — calm, practical, and immediately actionable. For example, if you're getting too many recovery calls:
- Answer at least one call per day — ignoring all calls escalates things faster.
- Stay calm and say clearly: "I am aware of my dues and I am working on a repayment plan."
- Ask for a specific callback date — this shows you are cooperative and buys time.
- Send a written message acknowledging the debt and your intent to repay.
- Recovery calls are only permitted 8 AM–7 PM. Outside those hours you can politely decline.

The Pressure Reducer provides general practical guidance only — not legal advice, not anti-bank messaging. It is calm, supportive, factual information to help you communicate better and take the next right step. For serious legal matters, always consult a qualified professional.
⚔️ Debt Battle System — Gamify Your Debt Payoff
Each of your loans is now a Debt Battle. The dashboard shows every loan as a progress battle — complete with a status level, a progress bar, and a battle name that changes as you pay down more principal.
Battle statuses progress as you pay down your loan: Just Started → Fighting → Winning → Almost Won → Conquered. Every EMI you confirm moves the bar. Every loan you close gets the Debt Destroyed celebration.
💸 Hidden Money Leaks — Find What's Draining You
DebtZero now automatically analyses your financial data and identifies hidden money leaks — unnecessary costs that quietly drain your finances every month. These aren't obvious spending categories. They're structural financial drains hiding in plain sight.
The leaks detector runs against your real data — late fine records, debt types, interest rates, and income — and surfaces the issues that have the biggest monthly impact. Each leak comes with a specific, actionable fix.
📅 Monthly Preview — Know Your Month Before It Starts
The new This Month's Preview screen gives you a complete financial map for the current month: every upcoming EMI, the dates when money is most under pressure, how much free cash you'll have after all EMIs, and an AI-generated insight specific to your situation.
The preview also highlights risky dates — days when multiple EMIs fall on the same date — so you can arrange funds in advance rather than scrambling on the day.
🔍 AI Problem Detector — What's Hurting You Most
DebtZero now automatically analyses your complete financial picture and tells you exactly what your biggest problem is right now — ranked by severity — and what to do about it first.
The detector runs silently in the background and surfaces only what matters right now — not a generic list, but your specific situation ranked by impact.

Why We Added Grace
Life gets busy. We don't want to lock you out the moment your subscription lapses. The 7-day grace gives you a real window to renew without losing your tracking streak or data access.
